Priorities

Transparency & Respect

Respect should be common place is government. Elected officials should respect residents and each other. However, our current commissioner does not see it that way. Elva Reyes is running to bring respect back to district 9 and work with everyone on common-sense solutions to improve our community. Elva isn't running to get into politics. She is running to build a future in Eaton County for her 17 grandchildren.

Public Safety

Public safety should be a top priority for the county. However, we have witnessed our public safety programs be cut back repeatedly. This is unacceptable. Elva supports returning to full 24/7 road patrol and funding our Sheriff's Office so we do not continue to lose services. This especially impacts our rural community that Elva pledges to represent.

Financial Security
The county's leadership has led us down an unsustainable financial path, now asking voters to approve a large millage increase. Homeowners are already struggling with inflation and increased costs, especially seniors on fixed incomes. While we must continue funding critical county services, county commissioners need to recognize the costs to our families.
